OWNERS    Telford A. Lodden Ted A. Lodden, CPA,CFP®, CVA, ABV, has been with BLPC and its predecessor, Augustine & Co. since 1972. Ted is the managing shareholder and heads the firm`s management advisory services department which provides management consulting and litigation support and expert witness services. In addition to working with individuals, closely-held businesses and nonprofit organizations in audit and taxation capacities, Ted pioneered the firm`s business valuation and financial advisory services. Ted has his Bachelors degree from Iowa State University and his Masters of Business Administration with honors from Drake University. Professionally, Ted is a past president of the Iowa Society of CPAs, past president or chair of the Des Moines Estate Planning Council, Economic Development Corporation of Des Moines, and Polk Des Moines Taxpayers Association, past president of Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the current chair of the Iowa Board of Accountancy and chair of the Ethics Committee.  He has served as an American Institute of Certified Public Accountant's (AICPA) Council Member and AICPA Vision Project Participant. He currently is the chair of the Financial Planning Association, a member of the Business School Advisory Board for Iowa State University, a member of the Board of Accountancy, State of Iowa, a member of the John Stoddard Cancer Center Board, a member of the CPE Committee of NASBA, and serves on the board of one of the largest employers in Iowa. Ted is also licensed in Insurance and Securities (Series 6 & 63) and is an IAR (Investment Advisor Representative). Lamale, CPA has been with BLPC and its predecessor, Augustine & Co. since 1978, becoming a shareholder in 1984. John has extensive experience working with closely-held businesses in auditing, income tax, and advisory services. John also manages the human resources function of the firm. John has a BBA in accounting from Ohio University and his Masters of Business Administration from Drake University.  John is an Investment Advisor Representative. He is past president of the Iowa Chapter of the National Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse. John is very involved with youth competitive soccer in Greater Des Moines. Hartley, CPA has been with BLPC and its predecessor, Augustine & Co. since 1977, becoming a shareholder in 1984. In addition to working with numerous closely-held businesses and their owners, Bruce oversees the firm`s tax practice and is also responsible for the firm`s accounting and auditing system of quality control. Bruce has his Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University.  Bruce is an Investment Advisor Representative. Professionally Bruce currently serves as a Director for the Iowa Society of CPAs.  Bruce has served as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant's Technical Issues Committee, has served the AICPA as a member of the Private Companies Practice Section Executive Committee, and Peer Review Board. In 1995 Bruce was honored by the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants as Outstanding Chair for his work in that capacity with the Peer Review Committee. Bruce also serves on the Waukee YMCA Board of Managers as chair of the finance committee, is past Treasurer for the Waukee Vision Soccer Club, and is past president of the Des Moines Northwest Kiwanis Club. Alexander, CPA has been with BLPC since 1986, becoming a shareholder in 1999. In addition to working with businesses and organizations in financial, manufacturing, construction, and nonprofit industries, Brent is responsible for firm recruiting, information technology, and personnel management.  Brent has his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Iowa State University.  He is an Investment Advisor representative. Professionally Brent has been honored by the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants as Outstanding Chair after serving that capacity for the Society`s Information Technology Committee.  Brent has also served a number of area boards of directors in various capacities including chair and treasurer.
